ZTE introduced its Axon 30S in China earlier today and, as
the name suggests, it's a slightly updated version of last year's Axon 30. The
specs and core design remain unchanged, while the only noticeable difference is
on the software side where the Axon 30S now boots Android. 12 with MyOS 12 from
ZTE.
Pricing has also changed with the entry-level 8/128GB model
now costing CNY1,698 ($238), while the 12/256GB model costs CNY2,198 ($308),
which was the price launch of the Axon 30. 8/128 GB last year. You can pick up
an Axon 30S in black or blue starting today in China, although international
availability hasn't been detailed at this time.
ZTE Axon 30S brings a 6.92-inch 10-bit OLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The phone retains the 16 MP under-display (UD) selfie camera and fingerprint scanner UD. . There's a 64MP main camera on the back along with an 8MP ultra-wide snapper and a 5MP macro lens. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 870 chipset is in charge, while the battery capacity is 4,200 mAh.
